This an official show. The dvd has a menu. The image in 4:3. The music is still a heavy/speed with a singer not very at the top ( but in the past situtation, Venom was the pioneer of the style). The concert was sold out.The image and the framing are correct, still the same with a camera behind the drummer, one close to the singer , one in the centre...So enough to satisfy the diehards..."nightmaaare" !
Live In Houston was filmed on June 18, 2004 at the Verizon Wireless Theater in Houston, Texas. Weiland, Slash (guitars), McKagan (bass), and Sorum (drums) are joined by guitarist Dave Kushner. The dvd has a very clear image, in full screen, many close plans , a nice light show even too much lights by moments. The montage wants to be original with many small screens but don't suit for a hard rock show and it's boring. Could be good for one songs but not in the long term . Moreover, songs are intercut with small interviews of musicians ( in fact, that's not the entire show) but it's a live dvd and not a VH1 document.Scott is a good frontman with full of energy but it's not mt style. Could play in the Village People , see "It's so easy".....Sometimes, he's too much.But depends on ur style. Some we like it. To sum up, many good things in this dvd but also many bad points to get it.
One more pro-shot show live recorded in 2010 nurburgring, Germany.U will get new song "fallen" and Springfiled's cover " I only want to be with u".Big main stage with everything to make a lovely filmed night-show ( screens, lights, audience....).Nice performance even if i wish more power in the singer.

Now , u will see the new guitarist chewy ( RIP piggy) in action.The image is good but in 4:3, the lights are crrect but nothing exceptional, the main camera is at the rear of the concert hall ( not bad to take the temperature,mostly in the first row).So, it's not a great show for eyes but mostly for fans who wanna see a live performance of Voivod.U will get also some bonus. An interview of Dave grohl without subtitle, a show in Quebec in july 2009 but they put the voice foward too much and too many bad zooming. The video framing sucks ! The "panorma" chapter is in french ( with the lovely Quebec accent) but deadly borring.
A show recorded and filmed by a fan with only one Samsung 'camera from the audience at the almighty Madison Square Garden in New York on March. 1st. 2012.To tell u the truth, the image is correct but the seat is quiet far from the stage in the up left and u'll have more often the big screen at the rear of the stage than closes up.
