Wacken Festival 2007- Official :
This dvd has a menu for songs selection.U have one title by band.Funny to see Sacred Reich ( and the big belly of his singer....yes....getting old) and his voice melodic/aggressive. A fine cast with Type O Negative, Rose Tatoo, Iced earth (with Tim), Saxon "let me feel the power", a melodic song from In Flames.....but also heavy stuff with Dimmu Borgir and mad max clothes or Immortal...............so very eclectic.
Twisted Sister - The videos Years ( Zone 2) Rhino records :
Fans have been happy with the release of this dvd ( with a 5.1 , nice menu, a correct image even very 80's and a screen in 4/3, subtitle in english). Most of them had the old VHS. So u can get all the videos of Twisted, some are moderns "love is for sucker" or funny "u can't stop rock n roll" or the crazy "Be chrool to your scuel" ( a school full of zombies.....really funny for 80's), a really good moment except for "the price", a great song which deserves so much more, cannot say it's fantastic except if u grew with The sisters like me.And u'll get the "Stay Hungry '84 " Twisted's live show. A show with only 10 songs but with a very clean edition, really good work .U should have a look and remenber: "what do u want to do with ur life "...........: I WANNA ROCK !
Stryper- Live in Puerto Rico : Really good. This dvd is a success. The wide audience is hot. The sound is good clear, Micheal Sweet is still a good singer, the public knows the songs, really ,one of the best filmed concert of the year. I recommend it! Special award for Stryper.
Warrant- Live 1987 ( pro shot ) in Los Angeles : Recorded in LA in 1987; this concert is nice. The club is not small and the cameras did a good job.Many plans. The set list is quiet long with the acoustic "heaven" ( a song very famous on MTV) or the moving "it's not size that counts" (really ???!?).For "down the road" , Janie went into the pit. It's not a crazy live show but the ambiance is lively. Good show ! The dvd has a nice menu.No choice for audio or subtitle.
Van Halen -Live in Philadelphia 2007 : This dvd has a menu, can select songs. It was recorded during the 2007 reunion tour at Wachovia Center, Philadelphia with David Lee roth.The audio is very correct, The image is taken with one camera, little far from the stage (from tiers) but the author makes big zoom. he did a good job, not boring at all !The stage is huge, big screen, David looks happy even Eddie ( who has just finished a cancer.....respect).
Van Halen -Live 2007 : Live in Allstate Arena in october 2007.Cannot select songs with the menu. Only have access to the show;The audio is correct for an audio cam'. The image is also correct and the framing very acceptable.The camera suit to the show, follows the band very well "runnunig with devil", of course u have blunder but it's the game because it's not allowed to filmed ( written on ticket). A show to see.
WASP- live in Kavarna : No nice menu.Audio cam from the left side not far from the stage.The show begins by a long intro of "the end" from The Doors.Funny choice from Blackie Lawless.The image is correct (very close) but the sound is muffled ( due to the open air condition).No big lights, effects but a nice performance from WASP.Blackie don't change too much ( for our pleasure) , with this bad attitude and this special voice...To conclude, not the best bootleg of WASP but if u really like this guy, get it. It's a good bargain.
House Of Lords- the collection ( unofficial) : Dvd with no menu.Most of documents are from Tv sessions so the transfer is not top ( the sound is better).So u have House of Lords playing live at "into the night TV" ( and a funny interview), many promo videos ( some are very good "remenber my name or "can't find my way home").....The show in Ohio has a good sound but a low image ( one camera from the left).Even for the show in Florida, better to hear it than to see it. ( shaking image & camera)....not lucky because it looks to be a very nice show.Nonetheless, it can give u a good idea of what is House of lords in "Live". Definitively a great band ( u can aslo buy a new edition of their first cd's with the french label Axe Killer).
Keel- live ' 84 : This dvd is rare, but the image is very bad, so just for collection !
Tesla- live ( unofficial) : No menu for this dvd. One camera from middle-left side. The image is correct and the zoom give us a good idea of the live show ( respect the moving of the musicians).Good sounf for an audio cam.A show to see....and to keep if ur fans.
Alice Cooper- welcome to my nightmare : This dvd is zone free. Begins with old pictures of Alice....funny! It's a show to see. Of course, the new generation won't like it ( no more dangerous), too old but it's one of the first theatrical show.Alice with his red's boxer short looks ridiculos but it's killing on "no more mr nice guy"....The image has been reworked.U can go to the discography, i don't know why but there is no cover of albums just titles...........
Anthrax-live ' 91 ( pro shot) : Well-known by all fans , this show was filmed in 91 at the Auburn Hills Palace.U can recognize the voice of joe by the openning "time" ( listen the drumer.....it's a real sport). The show has a good image, multi cameras ( filmed always the good time except for bird's eye view).I am happy to listen to "indians" or the cover "antisocial" or the duo song "i am the man" , even if scott has not the best voice.....but u must have a look ( a ear?).
Bon Jovi- boucing the ballroom (pro shot) : Good dvd from Bon Jovi with good quality video images. Interviews from track to track at the end....good stuff to get !
Harem Scarem- videos hits & more : From japan market. All videos from this canadian band.....could be more longer !
Ratt- the atlantic years videos : Good news from Ratt, good to see all the videos in good quality. Some are very funny ( u can see Lee & Sixx from the Crüe in cops). We can also salute the price, only 14 dolls. A must !
