Nice compilation witha menu & chapters. The main interest of the dvd is the show recorded in Shibuya(Tokyo International forum ) for a few songs.On the same dvd u have interview of Billy Sheenan ( for the promo of the new album "Cosmic troubadour) by the famous japanese journalist Masa Ito ( for the story, he called in 1983 Victor records to sign Europe in japan after he bought a vynil in shop).U will have some songs from TMG , the super US/japanese band ( with subtitle). So a nice dvd to get, even short.
If u like " Phatom of agony" , u can purchase this dvd with title in acoustic ( with orchestra) & electric from this first album with an aditional cover of "memory" from the musical "Cats".The nine tracks was recording uring the sessies of "2 meter series" by Dutch TV show.The atmosphere is serious ( normal, it's a big challenge for a band). The best point, it's the quality of the image in 16:9. The cameramen did good job. All the musicians in the studio are filmed. It's fluid, nice closes-up.The medieval video of "The phantom Agony" is just correct, better to see the making of in english.The other video is so so with a mother and baby face to the death.....Well,nothing really new. U'll get the discography and photos gallery...to complete that dvd.
The dvd has a menu and a chapter selection.The main menu is Exodus caught live at Wacken in Germany on their 2008 world tour in front of over 80 000 diehards. U will get more than one hour of thrash metal ( even if only there are only two menbers from the original line up :Tom Hunting & Gary Holt ) . The set list is :Bonded By Blood ( one of their best song)-Iconoclasm- Funeral Hymn- A Lesson In Violence- Children Of A Worthless God- Piranha- De athamphetamine- Blacklist- War Is My Shepherd- Strike Of The Beast- Shovel Headed Kill Machine...Nice show of Exodus with the singer Rob ( quiet brutal) as the music but with many solos. The image is good but quiet dark . Many plans from the stage, from the audience ( mosh is the motto when u see the title " strike of the beast").Did u know that Metallica 's guitarist Kirk Hammett used to be in Exodus in 1982 until 83 ( so before the release of "Bonded by Blood").But he brought the name "Exodus" in 82.
A short gig recorded in Camdem at the Barfly in june 2010 by one camera from the right side of the stage with a good image. The sound is low but fans will enjoy that bootleg and song like "baby loves U" for others, not sure it's the good choice to discover that pop hard rock band.
